Anchor
Main report is decided by the amount of footage they have for that story.
It's about here are the stories this s whats going to be on the show and this is why we do them.
The anchor is the person who reads out the news stories. The ones who are on when the show starts and says something along the lines of 'welcome to BBC news' etc.
Studio report
This is when the anchor is telling of news stories directly to the camera and usually in a news studio.
Field report
a piece to camera is when the field reporter is where the story is and stand in front of something that tells a part of the story. He is stood directly in front of the camera and talking straight to it. They interview members of the public who seen the even happy. The field reporter is asked a question then starts the story off with an answer.
Vox pops
Shoot cross axis, so over the other shoulder every time. You don't talk directly to the camera slightly off camera talking to you. makes people more comfortable talking to a person rather than camera. They do this to make them seem a lower status than field reporters or anchors who talk directly to the camera.
